2024 Meo Masters

Meo 30 was a resounding success and completed in Wheeling, WV at Oglebay Park. It was a week filled with historical pictures, various swag, and an interesting start to the week by Santos as he checked out of the hospital prior to day one of the Meo for his second time. History was made in this year's event as the winner of the Meo Masters came from the next to last group to tee off on day four. The previous 29 years history has had the winner come only from the final foursome to tee off on day four.

Jorge and Wetz were in the top several positions all week long with several others challenging the top five or six positions as we approached the final round. Jorge was trying to defend his title and put together a solid week, but Wetz was keeping the pressure on. On day four, Jimbo put together a career best round of 76 to end in a three-way tie between himself, Jorge, and Wetz at -8 for the week. The scorecard playoff went to three holes and Jimbo, playing from the third group out that morning, ended up defeating Jorge to secure his second Green Jacket. This also secured Jimbo the Hooters Award for low net for the week.

Team Danno won the Captains Cup due to some solid play by Jugs in the two-man events. Chad won the Hargers award with his consistent play for the four Meo rounds. Going into round four, the battle for the bra was down to Santos and Higgy. Higgy was consistent in his scoring for the week as he secured the bra on day four.

Bogero joined a prestigious group by getting a hole-in-one during the Captain's Cup to join Doc and Zeus as the only three in Meo history to join this club. Doc's hole in one is the only one that was performed during a Meo Masters round.

The four captains for next year in order they will pick are as follows: Higgy, Jimbo, Chad, and Jorge.

Can't wait for this group to get together again for our 31st year in 2025!
